COVID-19 Protocols

In these unprecedented times, Executive Rail is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our guests and crewmembers. Before booking tickets on an Executive Rail excursion, we ask that our guest familiarize themselves with the following procedures and policies. These policies will remain in place as long as the COVID-19 crisis continues, and will be guided and modified according to the recommendations and requirements of public health officials.

Facial Coverings

For the safety of all aboard our railcars, Executive Rail requires all guests to wear a facial covering. Additionally, all crewmembers are required to wear masks at all times while on duty. Facial coverings can be removed when guests are in their private rooms or seated alone. Guests not wearing facial coverings will not be permitted to board our railcars. Guests will be required to acknowledge and accept this facial covering requirement prior to purchasing tickets.

Temperature Check

All guests will undergo a temperature check on the platform before boarding our railcars. (Likewise, crewmembers will undergo a temperature check before the start of their shifts.) Any guest or crewmember with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or greater will be denied entry.

Cleaning and Sanitization

Our crewmembers have been trained in enhanced cleaning and sanitization measures. The railcars are being cleaned more frequently, with particular focus on high-touch areas. Between trips, all seats and interior surfaces of the railcars are treated with a disinfectant-grade product that is EPA-approved for use against COVID-19 to sanitize and clean all touchpoint areas on the train.

Hand Washing

Our crewmembers are regularly washing and sanitizing their hands to protect against catching and spreading COVID-19. They also wear gloves while performing certain tasks, in compliance with CDC guidelines. The on-board restrooms on our railcars are fully equipped with anti-microbial soap and hand sanitizer for guests to sanitize their own hands at their discretion.

Immediate Response

If any passenger or crewmember shows any signs of illness, the railcar will immediately undergo a deep cleaning and disinfecting procedure, which will be followed based on CDC guidelines for COVID-19.

Trip Flexibility

Executive Rail is waiving all cancellation fees for reservations up to 30 days in advance of the trip date. Additionally, you may change your existing booking to a different Executive Rail trip with no change fee (differences in ticket prices still apply, if applicable). Limiting Bookings

We are limiting ticket sales on services to allow for physical distancing while traveling.

Private Rooms

Should you choose, private rooms (with bathroom facilities) are offered on all of our trips to provide extra space, comfort and privacy. Our bedrooms offer physical distancing in your own clean, private room, with comfortable seats by day and sleeping accommodations at night.
